Do anyone maybe know who the distributor is of Sanchez Guitars?
Sanchez Guitars
Hate to burst your bubble, but think they were imported directly by Cash Convertors or Cash Crusaders...you looking for parts?
no im a music shop and want some real cheap guitars and they are the only that fit in between R1000 - R1500.Nitebob wrote: Hate to burst your bubble, but think they were imported directly by Cash Convertors or Cash Crusaders...you looking for parts?
Oh....will keep an ear to the ground...see if I see them somewhere else...BK Percussion has Ella and Sonata at good-ish prices...might give you a better deal the more you buy...
I heard good things about the re-issued Levin's - not a patch on the originals, but having tried a few, I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely a step-up from the Sanchezzz!
Chatting to the guys at Music Mate Sandton, it's a slightly cheaper alternative to Cort's and apparently sell better...!

To buy to use....I'll look at the Levin for sure, if you want an el cheapo option to re-sell, maybe a bit high of a price bracket, from what I've Googled...
Agree. This is for the people that dont want to listen if you tell them dont buy that cheap off guitars cause its junk but still wants to buy it.Nitebob wrote: To buy to use....I'll look at the Levin for sure, if you want an el cheapo option to re-sell, maybe a bit high of a price bracket, from what I've Googled...
I'm in the tyre industry and always have "chinese imports" available...if someone is gonna take their money to buy cheap it might as well be me...you might want to look into Ritmuller as well...ajdebeer wrote:Agree. Can also try Crescendo music: music@crescendo.co.za They are in JHB
Levin are imported by Music Mate so not surprised they sing it's praises, nothing wrong with it though. Made in the same factory as Cort.
What about Palmer from Tropical Music or Stagg from Audiosure?

Knew there was a couple I'm missing....
I always advise potential buyers not to buy Sanchez guitars and not to buy a guitar at Cash Crusaders.
I hope your guitar shop doesn't get the same reputation.

I hate that guitars and will never ever ever recommend 1of the guitars to a person but you get clients that dont listen. So or i sell them that stuff or they go and buy at other place. I mainly sell and recommend cort guitar but thats starting from about 2200DaFiz wrote: I always advise potential buyers not to buy Sanchez guitars and not to buy a guitar at Cash Crusaders.

I've seen some cheap wedgewood's that fall in that bracket, anything is better then a sanchez
I would not stoop to that level. Maintain a standard and people can go elsewhere if they wanna.ajdebeer wrote:I hate that guitars and will never ever ever recommend 1of the guitars to a person but you get clients that dont listen. I don't agree from a business perspective. If I only sold Pirelli tyres and tell people to go elsewhere if the want cheaper, I might as well close my doors, while there is still money in the bank...I educate my customers on what the better option is and leave the decision up to them.
My first guitar was a Sanchez....if that option wasn't available to me, I propably wouldn't have started playing again.
Wedgwood is the worst cheap junk I have seen in 10 years. Frets to cut your fingers off plus other issues. IMO guitar/music stores should stick to real instruments and leave the junk to pawn shops and general dealers.stompie wrote: I've seen some cheap wedgewood's that fall in that bracket, anything is better then a sanchez
Although... I would rather see people buy cheaper guitars from guitarshops where they might have had the fret ends smoothed off a bit and a bit of a setup done...JGP wrote:Wedgwood is the worst cheap junk I have seen in 10 years. I would rather not be in the guitar business than sell Sanchez guitars.
If I was selling BMW motor cars I would not sell Chana vans.
If I was selling Bose audio amplification I would not sell Dixon speakers.
but then again... that is my own personal perception...
Thank goodness I'm not in this for the money... 8)

That is if you work for a brand but a general store must stock every kind.DaFiz wrote: I would rather not be in the guitar business than sell Sanchez guitars.

Want to thanks the person for crescendo got right at them.
They have guitars for cheap that only have 1 pickup but at least its ok quality.

By the time the "cheaper" guitar has been made vaguely playable the money spent could have just bought a real guitar anyway. Wedgewood, Sanchez etc. is going to cost a grand anyway. R500 + to sort of fix and you could have had an entry level Cort, Stagg, Palmer, Levin or whatever. Not great but at least playable and worth something used.
