Hi guys

I have had the distinct pleasure of purchasing my dream guitar, a PRS Tremonti.
It really is a massive privilege, one that very few people get to experience.

Amazing how having a nice guitar can inspire you to plug in and just jam. Just for the fun of it. So much fun!
As a player that started out on the drums (and who enjoys heavier music), I really appreciate what this guitar can do in my favourite genre of music.
So much more things/sounds to explore, can't wait.

Here are a few photos - I love the colour:
1) Me, very chuffed when I got home with it:

2) The guitar in all it glory:

3) A close up of the flamey cap:

4) And lastly, the birdies on the neck (paua heart/mother of pearl inlays):

Anyways, always fun when we can share these things with other people who also can appreciate it.
I am a fan of the NGD posts, always cool to see someone celebrate the newest addition to their collection.

Cheers
Theuns
Congrats! Yep, always nice sharing in other people's NGD's ? Thanks for sharing!

well done on the buy. there's nothing like a guitar giving you inspiration to play ?

Absolutely. I've been spending lots of time on my SC245 lately so know exactly where you're coming from. ?
Congratulations on an Awesome guitar ?
congrats man,, its a beautiful guitar,,
been saving up for a while now to get my PRS..
              Congrats Theuns....very nice axe !!

What amp are you using with it ?
OMW that is STUNNING!!! That green is mesmerizing!!!
That is an amazing guitar. May I ask why you went with the green, which I love, instead of the classic Tremonti Charcoal Burst?
Lovely. They certainly went to a great deal of trouble with those inlays. And the quality is obvious.
Wow! That's a real stunner. Congrats.
Thanks a lot guys, flippen stoked with it. Neck plays like butter.

Went with the green because it was something different, haven't seen too many green guitars I liked, but the "jade" colour did it for me. It's a new colour for PRS I believe.
I like the "different" factor. PRS also does an automn sky finish, crazy 3D effect.

Amp wise, I'm still using a little solid state Hughes and Kettner amp. ???
Might need an improvement - a wonderful guitar like this needs something valvey.
I'll start planning accordingly! Saw Singemonkey's post about the little Laney Cub 12R (for bedroomvolumes). I also like the Blackstar HT series.

                        Cheers

Happy NGD! That is a wonderful colour!

I have to say PRS are seriously bringing it hardcore with the finishes these days!

A bit off topic, but how would one go about achieveing that kind of green on flamed maple if one were staining?

Also off topic, PRS do the artist package thing again now, and this is one of the options:

Black stain, sand back, green stain, scrape binding, clear coats.
Wow, congrats hey. Must be a special feeling indeed to finally own your dream guitar! :goodtimes:

Congratulations Theuns.... what an awesome guitar .. !!!

                                  Wow! What a beauty!!!

                                  Congrats dude!

If I may ask - did you buy locally or imported?

I am eyeing a PRS SE for around June... I can't wait!

I imported it off "the Bay".
FedEx to my door, not a scratch on her, and was packaged very well. The "Groen Mamba" took about a week to get here.

I was a bit nervous because I hadn't played it before buying, but was confident that PRS is a guitar I could buy online.
(I have a Modern Eagle too, and that thing is rock solid too).

The SEs are amazing - I like the SE 245 a lot.
Remember to upload your NGD pics when you get it!
