Many thanks for the warm welcome. I've tried the violin too, Manfred, but I couldn't handle the way I had to twist my wrist for it. I do want to get myself a saxophone one day, but I suppose that'll have to wait until I have about 5-7 Grand to spare. Anyone here got a second-hand one lying around? No... well, it was worth a try.

Hi Graham
Its good to know you already trust us enough to want to buy our saxophones. Never ask that question on a sex addicts forum

Welcome Graham - My usual warning to all new members - you only get the keys to the toilet facilities after 50 post so get cracking before your teeth begin to float. BWT if you need refreshments ask Lawrence he seems to have found the bar rather quickly

Welcome Graham,
Hope you enjoy the forum! Gonna have to elaborate a little more and tell us what gear you use (with pics) and what genres you like!

Hi Graham. Welcome onboard (or onforum, whichever you prefer). You are far from being the only guitarist/bassist/engineer around, so if anyone gives you trouble just shout and we'll gang up on them. ?

Welcome Graham!
The bar is down the hall, second door on the right...its an honour system so dont jyb..
Iam sure you'll be reall happy here(hic)

You guys have 'set the bar' pretty high here, huh... I don't need the toilet keys just yet, I can just go outside. (Male, can find a wall to stand in front of, and such...)
As for ganging up on those who aren't as nice, here's hoping it's not me you're ganging up on...
My gear? A Zoom GFX707 pedal, Hohner ST Special (White, looks much like the Strat with a kak looking head.) and a 30watt bass-amp (Don't ask... I dunno what make, as a friend has borrowed it.) Oh, yes... and my bass is an SX Traditional Series (Maroon body, mahogany neck) and my acoustic is a nylon Bell-Tone something-or-other... v-nice for classical chunez such as Romance D'amour - Anon.
Oh, yes... and Wavelab and Cubase VST on the PC... but that's just me playing around. Sorry I don't have pics to upload... I'll get around to that sometime soon.

Dont buy a saxophone second hand, you might get some kind off a mouth desease, same applies for a harmonica.
Ever wondered why your grandfather wouldn't let you play his harmonica?
Now you know why.
But maby if you clean real well it will be ok.
Just keep watching gumtree, i seen a few lately.
whusmaname
I'd obviously get myself a new mouthpiece if I was getting a second hand sax...
Harmonicas on the other hand are a different story, so in that respect I agree.
PS: What's Gumtree?
AlanRatcliffe
What's Gumtree?
A busy classad site
http://www.gumtree.co.za. Great if you don't mind wading through all the ads from commercial sellers (which aren't supposed to be there)

I was a guitarist first, so it should be okay. As for this site being cool, I agree with Bane.
