Hey guys, Im Varkstert and Im not an alcoholic...

I stay in Rustenburg, play Bass in church, learning guitar now. I played bass since 2000. My bass is an old Johnson....i know, crappy axe, but hey I was still an apprentice back then, no money. I have an acoustic/electric Washburn guitar I bought in 2002 when I qualified...little more money. will put up pics later. My mission now is to repaint my bass since I now have a kid on the way, due in july and there is now only money for baby stuff, so i wont be able to buy a new bass.

Hallo Varkstert.

Why are you not an alcoholic yet? We'll have to work on that part a bit. For the rest - WELCOME. Even bass players are allowed around here. Most of us do not admit it in public.

All the best with the baby. It can be a difficult time, both on extra money and on axtra time. But once you get through the initial few (20 odd) years, it is really all worth it - except the time and money situation just seem to never return to normal again.

Hello Varkstert. Welcome. I spent some years in Rustenburg as a kid before you were born and there my name was Speknek. Nah, just kidding about the name but did live there for a while. It was a smal town then. One cinema, the Rustra which used to have eggboxes on the walls. One store to buy Levi's - American Junior way down town near the rail lines.
