If you can get past the 'religious' content, and into the vibe of the song, the soloing in the second half of the song is brilliant! Dave Bainbridge is a phenominal guitarist, and one heck of a nice guy who always has the time of day for people. One of the best guitarists I know, and a man I respect hugely!

Cheers
G!

Such a cool voice. Reminds me of Glenn Danzig a lot. Also of these guys (Mainly Adam Edwards' vocals) from JHB, hence the earlier post.
Ian Astbury imho has one of the most powerful and amazing voices out of any male vocalist Ive yet heard.
This inspired me to listen to this oldie :yup:

    Ciao Edith :'(
John Mayer's new album, Paradise Valley.

Had this in the car the whole weekend and..... I don't know. Not bad, but not really good either. "Frustrating" would be a good description I think.

It's like, say you know a three star Michelin chef - but everytime he invites you for dinner he only serves you a peanut butter and jam sandwhich. Might be a great sarmie as far as sarmies go, but really, is that it? You have the skills to make my tastebuds cry from joy but instead you serve me a blerrie pb&j sandwich..... ???

I hear what you are saying Chris, although peanut butter and jam sandwich is most probably my favourite food ? So I wouldn't mind if Mayer dished out some of those....

His previous album 'Born and Raised' also was pretty mundane, but then I saw him performing some of the songs from the album live with just voice and guitar and it was good stuff. So I don't know if he over does the production in the studio.

          Here is the Album version

Not many people's favourite band, but giving the new Kings of Leon a listen - although there are a couple of really bad tracks, some of the songs are throwbacks to the Aha Shake Heartbreak days, which can only be a good thing
              Must learn this song

Very awesome song, I have about 80% of it down. I didn't expect that track to come from yourside S.......................good stuff.

KSE will be at ramfest with trivium next year...............

I'm also listening to the entire Paradise Valley album. Have it on repeat. Not a great album but I agree the guitar tone throughout the album is delicious.
Sean Phillips Ballad of Casey Deiss. Simple but hauntingly beautiful
Kataklysm - In The Arms Of Devastation

Just can't get enough of it. Simple yet brilliant.

Busy working out a few of the songs - had to tune down to B!

Man, this is what it's all about!

The Sky Valley album at the moment. On of the songs that really got me into them when I first heard their stuff.
