  • NGD - Ibanez LP copy - 1976 - (Model 2350)

A friend of mine spotted this on Junkmail, once he told me about it, I had to have it.

I find that there's something about taking the guitar apart, cleaning all the old gunk and sweat that's built up over the years that kind of makes it feel like it's mine now. ?

It's missing the neck plate and the pickgaurd, but I'll get those sorted soon enough, other than that, it sounds awesome and the action is perfectly setup.

I know some guys are gonna go on about it's not a Gibson, but I love Ibanez guitars and the '70's models were nothing to be sniffed at, besides, if it sounds and feels great to play, it's a great guitar.

Oiled the machine heads and tightened up the inside screw

    Very nice PaulJ. Congrats !

Give the dry RW board a good oil and it'll be "reg soos 'n roer" ?
      Very cool guitar! Congrats! :goodtimes:

+1 for feeling its yours after a good cleaning and personal setup.

As soon as I find a good pre-lawsuit set-neck model in decent condition, it will be mine... Love these Les Pauls...
I'm a Gibson fan through and through, but that is a striking guitar you've got there. A real beaut. Congrats and happy NGD
If this is one of the solid bodied models, then very nice indeed

I have the exact same. Except mine is a '77 and family owned since day one ?. Great Guitars!

            :goodtimes:

              Very cool guitar, congrats.
Got to love Dr Ducks, it's magical stuff. ?

Whereabouts are you?... I have a brand new pickguard for you plus all the bits that go with it...no charge.
Wow, thanks man! I'm in Boksburg, but travel quite a bit, would love to drop by and grab the pickguard n stuff when it suits you. ?
                  Give that man a Bells! ? ? ?

Also, is that buckle rash on the back? It seems quite hectic in the photo.... Was the previous owner wearing a hubcap as a buckle? ???

                    Nice axe!

I think he possibly had a belt sander belt ... lol

Well, the OP is from February, so predates the theft.
RJN, Got this in February mate......Plus he had a pre lawsuit headstock.
My friend has a goldtop. They're very decent! Cooler than a brand new Epiphone or similar (in my opinion).

Check out "Vibramate". They do no-modding-required bigsbys! I'd put a bigsby on my jazz bass if it was possible...
