Yo, PM sent re pedal board. That Fender amp is also mighty tempting...
- Thanks for the head's up. Sounds like an excellent evening out.
- I'll pop in to try grab a bargain, but not expecting much.
- Huge Elixir nano-web fan here. I only get to play 2 or so hours a week, and I think I've had mine on my LP for 8 months now and they have no sign of rust a just a touch a loss of brightness.
- What I love about vinyl is that it forces me to pay attention to my music. I experience it, instead of pushing play on random in iTunes and letting whatever echo through the house.
And +1 for the packaging. Worth half the value.
I have a pretty large collection, including many original Beatles and Rolling Stones albums from my dad, Beach Boys, some early Metallica, NIN, and I even love the added aura that the pop and crackle of vinyl adds to Nora Jones. Feels sexy ? - It wasn't abjectly bad sound, just not as crisp as it was in Cape Town. I was seated just off centre to the left. I'm short, and tired of staring at the backs of guys heads at most gigs, so unless it's a heavy band (Lamb of God in January baby!) I tend to buy seated these days.
- Another great evening in Dave's company. Quite a lot of overlap in the setlists, but we were treated to Crash Into Me, What Would You Say (which was a highlight), Watchtower and Too Much, so definitely worth it for those. The sound quality wasn't nearly as good as CT (the Dome really does echo a lot), but the levels were slightly better as Tim was quieter in the mix and Boyd was louder (and played far better). He was less chatty in Jhb, but everyone seemed to have a touch more energy. Maybe climbing a mountain the day before was a bad idea after all.
The view was good, but a lot flatter, so one couldn't see what Carter was doing really.
And I got a cool t-shirt ?
Overall, I say CT takes is by a touch, but let's chalk that up to the company ?
- I was at the Saturday gig, which was fantastic, but I gotta say that Sunday's had the better setlist. Bartender, Two Step, #41 and Rephunzal are some of his best tracks.
Going again tonight, so hoping we get at least Two Step or Bartender. I adore those songs. - Does anyone have an opinion on the VOX AC50CPH? I see one for sale in the classifieds section so I'm considering adding it to replace my Haze 40 for gigging purposes.
- Any more info on what the smallest available Pedaltrain is? I really want one but the ones I've seen are more suited to 10+ pedal setups, compared to my 4-5 setup.
- Thanks for the headsup. Will pop across on Friday morning to see if there's anything worth picking up. I'm thinking maybe a few modulation effects, or maybe a nice Marshal tube head if the price is right.
Derp, my bad! I mean the Bluesky and the Mobius... although maybe I should consider an El Cap too!Norman86 wrote:

The only thing the bluesky does more is the shimmer?!- Now a Bluesky and a Flint are finally realistically in my grasp! My pedal collection is almost complete.
- It's been covered pretty well, but as someone who works in this on a day to day basis, the key points are:
- Low growth next to comparable economies
- This is mostly due to lack of the right govt policies, wealth redistribution not moving quickly enough, and thus resulting labour issues country wide
- Inflation pressures and unemployment will keep consumer spend low, further constraining growth
- The dip in commodities, our major export, makes what we do export contribute less to GDP, and gives less reason for investment in new mines to drive more growth
- "Risk-off" mode by global investors as the cost of liquidity increases due to Bernake's intentions to slow Quantitive Easing over the next few months - Or phone Toms Sandton (011 883 1414) and ask if he still comes round and when he's next expected in.
- Ha, I'll try to take that as a compliment... ???
Has anyone found something with a similar sound to the '57 Classic+ for the bridge, but with a touch more low end? I'm happy with the neck, but just need a little more edge and grunt in the bridge, but not too much more. - I've had a bit of work done on her, so really want to take some new pics. Kinda waiting for the grass outside to go green and some nice sun to take some proper shots. Any other suggestions for how to get a good guitar pic?
- And fixed again!
- Well I'll put my NGD pics on, but hope to pop a few newer pics on asap!
http://postimg.org/image/4fannpzhj/ - Very nice. Congrats and happy NGD!
Gotta say, there is nothing quite like the bird inlays on a PRS.
