  • Mesa Boogie Mini Rectifier Costs

Hey.

Does anyone know for how much the Mesa Boogie Mini Rectifiers go for in SA? As well as their cabs?

Otherwise I'm also interested in the orange cabs. By the way, if someone knows of one being sold used please let me know.

Thanks ?
Why dont you look at the mesa boogie trans atlantic instead?

Never tried one. I particularly like the rectifiers drive. How does it compare?
its pretty versatile, and small, easy to transport.

you can get fender, marshall and mesa type tones, well more mesa, but it does the other stuff pretty well.
it depends what the application is.

but either its gonna be expensive, i think its around 10k for the head, not sure

yep, I got the TA head for R9, 500 and the cab for R3, 800 and I am very impressed with the amp. As MK stated very versatile. Unfortunately did not get to play on the mini rec, but I must say I am very happy with the TA's drive sounds etc. Good luck with the research and sourcing your choice.

Can we still get mesa in sa?

The TA doesn't have the gain stage of a rectifier though
i always say if you want "that" sound you must get "that" amp

there is just a certain sound you get in 50 - 100 watt that i like ?

I agree Manfred, I think nowadays musos are looking at something they can squeeze the juice out of and by no means are these mini's soft

They r rectifier sound through and through, I think some purist would deny them sadly
I got a TA-15 recently and it's FANTASTIC! Playing it through a Vox V112NT which is the Nightrain cab with a Celestion Greenback in. Loving every moment. Very versatile. And yes it's very loud.

One cool feature: you can switch both channels independantly between 5W, 15W or 25W.
