Elvis - That's the way it is

Anyone catch the Elvis film that SABC 3 had on last night. Very dated and nostalgic but I really enjoyed it. Showed all the rehearsals and lots of footage of Elvis joking with all the musicians and backing singers.
It was also the first time I saw James Burton play. Besides his brilliant playing, he had this brilliant paisley Tele.
What a good player and you could tell that Elvis held him high regard.

That is tele is pretty damn nice!!!

I only caught the last half, but yea it was purdy good, and that man James sure knows his Tele!

Elvis had a very good band, and held them all in high regard.

Generally if somebody else had a player that Elvis thought was really good, that added to the show, then he'd offer the guy more money to come and play for him and thus ensured that nobody was going to have a better band.

Jerry Scheff ended up in Elvis's band as well. Fab bass player.
