This may have been covered before but I would be interested in the gear that you regret selling the most. For me it is as follows:
1) Electric Guitar - a '93 Blonde USA Hamer Daytona Strat with Maple Fingerboard that was just fantastic. I still search the web to see if I can get a used one. I had a Fishman Piezo Power bridges installed and it just sucked the tone right out of the guitar. For some reason the electric tone was as flat and "dead as a doornail". In a moment of madness I sold it. Anyone got one of these "Strats" let me know please ...
2) Acoustic Guitar - A Guild Dreadnought that I found in the basement of a small music shop in London Arcade in Durban. It had that typical "musty" smell when the case was opened and must have already been a few years old but was brand new. I have no pics but it was a mahogany body with a brown sunburst effect on the soundboard. Man what a sweet tone!!!! I actually sold it to help with the transfer fees on my first apartment when I got married in 1983. I sold it to Syd Kitchen who I recall was also very complimentary about the tone and said he would be keeping it as his own personal guitar. At the time Syd owned "Syd Kitchen Guitar Saloon" (I think it was called that way back then - sounds rather corny now).
3) Amplifier - a Tweed 4x10 Fender Bassman that I bought new at a basement sale from TOMS Braamfontein in the 90's as well (I think I was a little stupid in the early 90's :^)). I sold it as I just got tired of carting a 4x10 Amp and two guitars around!!
Ok that's mine - how about yours. Try and limit it to one Electric, one acoustic and one amp if possible and relevant (one pedal or effect could also be added)

1. Ibanez Concord 70's model with all the birds on the scratchplate (got stolen in the SADF), couldn't really play then but it sure looked good.
2. Charvel model 3 - sold it because I couldn't play it and I didn't like the Floyd Rose
3. Fernandez le-2 - Ditto, gave up on Electric after this
3. Washburn d17ce - Acoustic Guitar, I bought at the same time as the Takamine, was very close which one had to go. At this time couldn't quite get into steel string, preferred nylon

The only things I really regret selling are the two 1969 Strats I've owned. Not so much regret not having them any more, but If I'd held on to them for a couple of decades I could have sold them for a little more. ?

I got offered a Fender Princeton from a pawn shop owner my dad knows. I had it for a week, jammed on it and it needed a service and I had NO idea what I had in my possession and at the time I did not feel that R800 was worth it for that amp! :'( :'( :'(

I had a little headless steinberger copy that I sold to a fellow forum member, really wish I still had that guitar, don't know why just miss the portability factor and it's very "unique" sound. I used to practice on it on the way to college everyday and throughout most of my lectures, heck you could go for a walk playing the thing because of how diminuitive the size was. Would love to get another little headless guitar just for the fun of it ?

I once had a vintage Gibson 50w all valve guitar amp that I rebuilt into a combo, with a pair of Jensen 12" speakers,,,,,,
in a moment of weakness I swopped it for an acoustic/electic guitar, the name of which I will not mention, to avoid further embarrassment,,,,, :-[

I sold a mid 90's Japanese Tele a few years ago to buy a Gibson Deluxe. I love the Deluxe but wished that I could have kept that specific Tele.
