I am a broadcast engineer with my own business. Presently running technical training sessions in Sub- Saharan Africa. I have an in depth technical knowledge of all things electronic and have studied valves extensively. I play bass - electric fretted and fretless and electric and acoustic uprights. I play all types of music except classical music, but my favourite is still jazz especially the older style as this really requires a good working knowledge of harmonic structures. I have been playing for about 30 years. As a youngster my first gig -jazz- was in a smoky brothel in Point Rd Durban. (How's that for learning the ropes)

As far as valves go I fix amplifiers for my friends and will in future be releasing my own range of amplifiers. So if there are questions on valve amplifiers please post them on the site as I will gladly provide my inputs.

I have fixed one for a friend of mine, but I am in JHB. Send the model number and description of problem. Perhaps I can help via the forum. I have a large collection of circuit diagrams
Pierre is indeed a serious bassman, I have played with him on a few occasions.
