I recently swapped my Cort acoustic for an Ibanez Talman.
The Ibby feels like it was ergonomically designed for me!
The Cort was a great guitar but it was along reach around the huge box, this baby is so small and sleak.
She feels completely comfortable.
The black with ivory trim and the lovely headstock make it look like a rock acoustic.
I really enjoy playing acoustic 90% more than I used to. ?

How does the volume compare, this one having a smaller sound box?
Vella, in a small intimate unplugged space, I can't tell the difference. She sounds beaut.
If you bring in a tom and a vocal then you need to pop her into the Micro-cube and everythings cool.
      She sounds stunning! ?
Awesome stuff. Congratulations on the new guitar ?

Saw that one coming from a mile off ?
Are you busy playing Wonderwall? ?

Isn't Hammeron like 17 because then i hope you are to, otherwise it's a bit jaaaa.... ?
Good one hammeron . Finding guitars that suit your build is critical for good performance , so you needn't fight the guitar and can concentrate all your energy on what you playing . A wise swop . Also yes the smaller body will affect the tone and volume but everyone except pure classical or bluegrass players will use it with an amp so no loss to get volume or some lost tone back by tweaking the amp good luck with it . Nice looking guitar peace k
I still reckon they're a bit funny looking for an acoustic, me. But if you dig it and it sounds and plays nice, then that's all that matters.
reminiscent of a MusicMan body shape
Watch those bangles. They could put a lot of marks on the top.

RE size and volume. I'm not sure there's a direct correlation. Certainly the size of the body is not the only thing that determines the loudness of the guitar. An egregious example would be Mervyn Davies's guitars that have very small tops (easily smaller than Hammeron's new guitar) and shallow bodies but are loud with a capital V.
Nice guitar Hammeron.... I love the design, including the oval, at an angle, sound hole, which makes it look like it's in 'italics'. 8)

You're a bit funny looking for a singer but no-one complains when you belt it out ?

Glad the new guitar has reinvigourated your acoustic stylings Hammeron... it'll only help the metal as well!

Aren't we guitarists? I thought the legal age limit kind of defines what we consider to be going too far ?
I had the same one, just in the natural finish. Very nice guitars, especially plugged in. They also fit quite nicely in a traditional classical guitar case as well if you don't have something for it yet.
I've seen one with a Tartan finish to it.

It's certainly not a bad guitar and if it's easier to play then its even better.
                                    Hammeron.

now you can get one of these stands and use it in your live performance,
yngwie is just a extra ?

If you do, for heaven's sake please just play it with more feeling than Malmsteen.

This reminds me of their new 2011 limited edition Talman models.

Ibanez are quite literally my favourite production guitar company, but they do have major faults that they should address as they are one of the worst in quite a few repsects. I own 4 of them so I say this with the utmost love and admiration but, they are completely out of touch with their customer base in the western world and their back up service is atrocious. Here are some examples of Talman that they have released as special edition models for this year:

The advertising cheasyness is almost as bad as the painjobs they've chosen...

Don't you go dissing Malmsteen! >☹

Seriously as much flack as the guy gets for playing fast you actually can't overlook how brilliant his vibrato is, it's one of the hardest to immitate in the industry I'd rate. So much control!

He may be a bit of a neo-classical one trick pony but he started it so he can do whatever he likes ? It's his immitators that actually ruin him.
