? thanks man
- Ok so yesterday after 3 years of playing with the same strings my D string gave out. So this morning I rushed out to the nearest place to get strings which in Pinetown is Cash Crusaders ( I know bad idea). Anyways, once I get home I find that changing the strings on an electric guitar isn't as simple as just threading them through and tuning (I've got a Fender Squier Strat), as I was tuning I noticed the bridge started to rise so I stopped loosened the strings and did a bit of googling to find that I apparantly went up a gauge, the new strings are "light" so I'm guessing the strings that came with the guitar were superlight or something and so now I've got to open up the back and change the tension but I don't wanna touch because I have the amazing gift of fucking everything up. Anyway while loosening I somehow now snapped my high E string. I have no idea wtf I'm supposed to do. Can anyone tell me where I can go where they'll restring it for me I don't want to mess it up again.
Dammit I was writing exams all this time and only logged on to see this now. I just got the Zoom G2.1nu
- @Chocklit_Thunda, thanks, I found a G1XN for R1000 brand new. I keep seeing a lot of great reviews for Digitech and Zoom. Wanted to see which ones were preferred locally seeing as we have a limited range compared to UK or USA ?
- @studmissile, just my luck. I saw a digitech RP50 second hand for R400, called the guy next day and sold.
@wirt. Yeah I think I should've used the word casual guitarist instead of beginner. I am looking for a better amp but every time I find one it's either sold or way way out of my price range. I just have the money on hand so I wanted to get what I could when I could instead of spending it on something stupid. - Thanks ZarK ?
- Thanks guys, I've been playing for about 3 years now, there's just some songs that don't sound right without the wah or overdrive that I wanted to play. I'm not trying to play professionally or anything it's just a hobby.
@wirt I've got the Squier SP-10 amp, it's basic, came with the guitar. - :-\ Hey there, I'm looking for a multi-effects pedal/processor, preferably under R1000. I'm a beginner with a Fender Squier Strat and absolutely clueless about what to get. Can somebody please give me some advice? :sorry:
