Hello all you guitar noobs.
My name is Stefan and I play the geeetar. I'm 25 and I've been playing for about 8 years now, although I've taken a brief hiatus the past 2 or so years due to my studies. I'm back though and I'm psyched to start developing my playing skills once again.
Style wise I play mainly metal, gravitating more towards the progressive and doomy genres. Stuff you'll find on my Ipod would typically be: Isis, Cult of Luna, Insomnium, Daylight Dies, Paradise Lost, Agalloch, Animals as Leaders, Dream Theater, Novembers Doom, Darkane, Katatonia, Swallow the Sun, Kurt Darren and Scar Symmetry. Stuff along those lines.
Gear wise I've played quite a few stuff over the years ranging from Crates to Marshall and Ibanez to Cort. A few years back I sold my tube amp to jump on the modeling bandwagon and to be honest even though I do enjoy the sound and feel of a cranked tube (who doesn't?) I don't want to go the tube route again anytime soon. I sold all of my guitars and only have two left, my Ibby Prestige (which I love to bits btw) and my Walden G630CE (awesome acoustic for the price).
So there you have it. That is me in a nutshell. I'm very much looking forward to conversing with you guys on topics ranging from music composition to gear.
