Alot of us just jam to any tune when warming up... what your most favourite tune to warm up to?
Mine (coz I'm such a noob) is Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams & The Eagles - Hotel California

Enter Sandman is one of them.

I like "these walls" from Trapt. Its not really a warm up song or doesn't have the characteristics of a warm up exercise but does the trick for me mentally.

To get myself to start playing though I have to listen to get psyched music which usually comprises of Dragon Force "Through the fire and flames" and a song or two from rise against.

For me its the intro riff and intro solo to Pink Floyd's "Wish you were here".

Great balance between timing, clean fretting and just great feel!

Great song...great to play, the timing is a bit tricky and near impossible to get it to sound exactly like DG, well for me anyway. I am always amazed to see how effortlessly he plays this, even smiling at the 12 string player, as opposed to my head nodding, foot tapping, intense concentration frown with tongue out the corner of my mouth pose, and jerky movements... :-[

I wonder what gauge of strings he uses on his acoustics...those bends!

Ok...so shoot me for this, but the intro to Stairway to Heaven is also a favourite of mine... but I don't do that in guitar shops!

I've never heard anyone play stairway to heaven in a guitar shop. This probably means that I don't spend nearly enough time in guitar shops.
