Would be awesome for Tanya to start playing piano. Seriously though... I've got a yamaha (no idea which) it's over 10 years old, with little extras, but it does the job wonderfully. As long as it has a basic piano sounds, and a few added extras it should be fine. I really wouldn't go too far out with the first keyboard. Kinda like when you get your first guitar, we all start off crappy, then once we're certain it's what we want... we get something better ?

Thanks Manfred... My acoustics neck is a little wider than my electrics neck, thus making it uncomfortable and difficult for me. But ja... just being here yesterday made me amped to play last night. (No, I didn't play last night... we watched Spiderwick chronicles)

Myself and Tanya frequent the photo club site, and it's a great source of information, help, friendly people, and lotsa k@k praat ? I'd definitely recommend going there.

Alan, I'll definitely keep that in mind. I don't want to damage the guitar either, so thank goodness I left the strings looser than usual. Not sure what how they may affect the neck.
Nope... I'm no pro wrt photography. I'm still studying and have only been into it for a year now.

Word of advice... do not open your camera what so ever... no... don't even think about doing. I'm the kind of person that just loves taking things apart and putting them back together, and I've had to restrain myself once I learned that cameras can be "modded"
The sensor is extremely sensitive and you could end up damaging your camera. Gotta laugh at the macro comment, as I'm also busy hunting for one. Been using extension tubes for a while now, but it's a royal pain in the beehind.
Another word of advice... stick to the auto or program settings on your camera until you fully understand how your camera works and how to work your camera. Reason I say this, is that you'd rather capture that moment, than be messing with settings and miss the moment ?

I've been into music and musical instruments my whole life. My dad was a musician and he gave me my first guitar at the age of 5. Unfortunately (due to circumstances) I only started taking an active interest in music when I was 13. I'm now 22 and still as lazy as ever.
I've never really given my fingers the chance to feel pain yet, so I reckon you could call me the laziest musician you'll ever meet.
Yeah, I joined here all thanks to Norio and his wife (thanks guys) and I really like it here.
Hopefully being part of this community will inspire me to put my camera down every now and then and dust off my guitar. Sacriledge! I hear you say. :-[
Yep... it's a scandal to let my babies gather dust like they do.
My babies consist of my dad's Yamaha Acoustic and my newly found love... the electric.
My electric isn't the greatest... It's a cheapie my man bought for me (last year nogals) for my birthday... needless to say, I've only handled her a few times. :-[
I've never found it easy to play the acoustic as my hands are quite small and I find it uncomfortable to hold her at the neck. So I've restrung her so that she's now a left hand guitar... Reason, I'm supposed to teach Gareth how to play... nope, I haven't even tuned her yet.

Oh yeah... I also play a bit of keyboard every now and then, and no... I don't sing. Wish I could though... don't we all :-\
