The Florentine used a hybrid floating archtop bridge, with a metal top and plastic roller saddles. It also had a metal cover over it, although most players seemed to remove it.
A modern hybrid
something like this should work and will cost you under R250 to get. You would have to fit it, which is easy if you know the "trick" to radius the wooden bottom to fit the top of the guitar properly.
