Sure. In a nutshell, I'm a full-time motorcycle riding intructor who has passion for guitars, bikes, planes and hotrods in pretty much equal proportion. Apart from jamming with a few friends, I seem to mostly be playing lead in Biker's Church though I'd like to play more "out there" again, but without Japanese drummers or chorus pedals. Musical tastes are fairly obvious: electric blues (with Texas leanings), loads of '60's up classic stuff like Pink Floyd, Zep etc. Have a real taste for early rock 'n roll, and consequently also Rockabilly - which I see some guys are finally discovering out here. I've found my tastes changing to a lot more of that & the blues - more live & immediate, less plastic. Spent nearly 10 years in London, and if you guys & girls are there drop in on Denmark Street. Trust me, let YOUR wallets ache too.
Guitar tastes tend to run towards the Gibson side of the tracks tonally most of the time, but I'm not a brand Nazi. What works for you is what you should play.
It's great to see that there's a good forum for guitarists in S.A. & I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better.
