I haven't been there before - do you have a fairly decent view of the stage if you book a table or more or less the same if you just pitch up and stand around?
They have recently remoddeled the place, so not too sure, but last time I was there, the tables where closest to the stage, with the bar behind, so your view from the tables is good, but standing at the bar, you'll only have a view if you are at the stage edge of the bar, looking over the seated peoples.
kayDUB, please let me know how many of your posse will be attending, then we can see about a table.
Anybody else please speak up if you want to join us!
