Looking for a 12" Celestion speaker to replace the Blue Marvel in my Peavey Classic 30.

Will be in Cape Town 23 to 30 June.

Any particular speaker in mind?

    First prize would be the G12H Anniversary speaker.

    After that, I'd consider a G12M-65 Creamback, G12H-75 Creamback or G12T-75.

    I'd prefer not to replace the Blue Marvel with another midrangey speaker like a V30, though I would consider it if the V30 is going cheap and / or I could put the Blue Marvel towards it.


    JGP do you have any speakers you'd be interested in parting with?

        I put a G12M-65 Creamback in my old Classic 30 and it was just incredibly well suited to the amp. Outstanding speaker.

        We are the SA distributor for Celestion so can supply any of the current models. We do not trade in speakers so Gumtree, Facebook, this Forum etc. is your best option to sell it second hand.

          JGP Thanks man. Unfortunately new speakers are way out of budget range right now.

              Maybe let us know what kind of budget you have in mind. That way someone might have something that fits your requirement.

                    Bluetone Thanks for the heads up! Did you get it new or 2nd hand? Do you mind sharing what you paid for it? (so I can get a ballpark figure in mind)

                      Alex That was some years ago now, Alex - I bought it new, must have cost around R2000 - R2500, if I remember correctly.
