Where in Cape Town would you take your amp for repair?

I have a Marshall JVM410H that's doing nothing but making popping noises come from the speaker, and the actual amp is humming (like, something inside the chassis).

I had a look at the list of amp techs but am wondering if anyone can recommend someone who has the skill and has reasonable rates. Here's the list but if you know anyone else please feel free to mention them too.

FYI, Matt emigrated to Oz a few years back. T'was a sad day, that guy was magic.

Theron is solid - did a true bypass on a pedal on mine & rewired a active bass for me. Neat work! Does amp repairs & all sorts of other stuff.

The gear junkie has a in house guy doing tube amp repairs and the've got another guy who does SS and other work. Rescued a PA amp of mine that no-one else wanted to even try.

might be significant adding some of the other repair contacts do charge a fee just for having your amp on their workbench and looking at it. in my experience the Gear Junkie fella's are welcome to try and diagnose your fault first up with no charge involved.

They're generally very cool like that (sometimes it's a bit busy and they don't have time to check it there and then, but it's rare - Saturday's can be a bit hectic). It's a beeg bonus of having a retail space, you can just walk in and -usually- chat to someone.
