Hi all,
I upgraded my strat with the Blade Runner bridge..I have to say that I was surprised how it effected my tone and sustain for the better. I would also like to get the saddles more smoothly because the saddle screws stick out and can be quite annoying. What can I do to keep the saddle screws under the saddle for a smoother feel? I've heard about guys filing the screws at the bottom in order to make it shorter?

You could replace the grubs screws with some shorter ones - though I'm not sure if you'll find the diameter that'll fit those saddles . I got some 3mm (diameter) ones in 6, 12 & 18mm length - they were tricky to find but it sorted out the screws sticking into my palm.

Alternatively, some guys (Alan Ratcliffe is one of them) will work around the saddle screws but tilting the neck slightly back so there is a higher action and then adjust the saddle screws to suit.

Filing them is a option - but it's a one way adjustment - before trying that I might just research how tricky it'll be to source replacement ones first.

ChrisDanger Thanks, always good to find a another supplier!

I got mine at bolt n nut after trying out 3 other places. Surprisingly Topfast didn't have, which is weird as they have had pretty much everything else!

V8 One supplier we often used for work that wouldn't be obvious is Bearing Man, who have a wide range of fasteners. They might also be worth a try. When you're on the extremes of the spectrum (very small or very large) things do tend to get a bit more scarce.
