NorioDS hey there. so, murphy intervened. my logout (perfectly recorded by useloom which is a smashing tool by the way, big ups for the linkup!), went off without a hitch.

i have a feeling the error message i receive comes along when i've been idle in here for a while and then try to log out. i'll try to recreate that situation and post the recording if i receive the error message.

Hmmm good theory. I've had that happen before with Laravel where the CSRF token expires if I leave a form open and then try use it later. Could very well be what's happening.

I'd appreciate if you could replicate the issue and confirm if that's what's happening. It'll be something I'll pass on to the Flarum dev team to fix. I think they're releasing a new beta in a month or 3.

I checked the logs and the issue lies somewhere between a "RouteNotFound" exception and a "PermissionDeniedException".

I can't fix it but I think I can offer a workaround until this is fixed.

When you log in, click "Remember Me". That should keep your session alive long enough that when you try log out, it works.

Will you try that over the next few days and let me know if it works? If it does, I'll update the first post with the details of the issue + workaround.

NorioDS no worries. i do use the 'remember me option at login, it's no major inconvenience for me, i just thought it would be something you'd want to know about. :-)

NorioDS ok, never mind. just double-checked. please don't take a hamer (see what i did there- guitar pun.) to me head, but i didn't have the remember me box ticked. have it done now and will let you know again tomorrow if i encounter the same issue
