If I didn't have ears I would be smiling all the way around Paul Bothners are bringing this brand in from the UK. From everything I have read this particular model, the Faith Venus High Gloss is their top selling model. I have yet to find a negative post about them anywhere, everyone is saying this is a guitar worth 3 times the price wrt woods used, build and sound. This puts it into the Martin and Taylor levels of quality They are built in Indonesia using; Sound Board, Solid Engeleman Spruce Sides and back, solid Rosewood Neck Mahogany Matt Fretboard, bridge Macassan Ebony Grover Rotomatic Golds with Ebony key heads Binding Solid Flamed Maple Fingerboard inlay Mother of Pearl 'F' at 12th Fret Rosette 5mm Abalone with Fibre Border Nut/Bridge TUSQ (PQ-6116)/(PQ-9110) Pickup Shadow Performer Tuner Preamp / Shadow Nanoflex Pickup Case included. This baby is sweet, perfectly setup. Crystal clear compared to my old Yamaha APX 6. Plugged in it sounds like the guitar is miked, a very true acoustic sound.
A closeup of the Rosette, pretty. The bridge pins are ebony with Abelone shell inserts. The Tusq Bridge is perfectly set up for intonation and string height. Lower note E string height at 12th fret, 2.3mm
Wow that looks really nice. Congrats!
        Thanks

Here are some very quick sound samples, the left channel is the Faith Venus the right is the APX. I have set the pickup to neutral on the tone settings, plugged straight into my Focussrite Scarlet 18i6, no effects.

That sounds pretty decent. You must be happy ?
            Very nice!
I am a sucker for wood bindings. If I see those on a guitar, it generally gets my approval, and this is no different.

I just ran out to Bothner's in my lunch break after seeing this post.
Managed to play one of these in Indonesian mahogany (not even sure what that wood is, but it looks and sounds like a mahogany for sure) and an Indonesian Rosewood dread, both with Engelman spruce tops.

I preferred this model, but both were very nice guitars, especially at that price point. Both seemed like they'd fare very nicely compared with the lower end Taylor's and Martin's.

Good buy dude, I think you got yourself a great instrument there.
              I am so chuffed

They have 6 models, a Dread, drop shoulder Dread, Ochestra Model(this one) Parlour, Jumbo and baby Jumbo.

They then have them in 3 different finishes, High Gloss, Natural (matt) and Naked (lower cost model)

The Mahogany OM model you played is the Natural Venus. I personally prefer the high gloss finish because it super protects the wood plus brings that beauty of the grain out. However I do absolutely love the matt neck. The finish on my guitar is superb to say the least.

I was reading a great review about these faiths about a month ago, nice to see they here! Looks good, very good, enjoy!
Brilliant. Have seen them for years in The Guitarist magazine.

The little parlour he demos in the beginning is gassing me hugely

Congrats on your new arrival! Enjoy her always!

I've been impressed with Faith guitars right from the outset, and was very pleased to hear that PB's were bringing them in. This is the same model that interests me, though with the 'HEX' pickup system. This system lets you balance the volume of each string individually, so if you want the top end notes to ring out a little louder, you just adjust the gain on those strings etc. Brilliant system, and a stunning guitar!

                    Regards
                    G!
