It's been a few days and the only post here that makes any sense to me is nonsense, but I understand, and oh lord, I'm not ready for this sort of thing.

Ads displayed are usually provided by service providers that get "click-tracking" results from Google and whoever else. This means the ads get "personalised" for the things you usually search for and click on.
Mine is PyCharm and PhpStorm at work and online instrument shops at home.
Yours is Anna... Just saying.
Jip... quite scary actually... At a stage I had line 6 POD HD500x adverts on every page I visited.Hasie wrote:ROTFLMFAOKaasdief wrote: There is an ad that comes up on the screen, picture of a pretty girl that wants to speak to me? I thought everybody can see her :-[

Even more scary is that it seems that kalahari and takealot are selling search info. I searched for call of duty in google and clicked on kalaharis link and then I was getting call of duty adverts on facebook :O
Yeah mine is the North American Guitar, and a strip of ads from gumtree
Many sites require cookies to be enabked on your browser. Cookies are mainly used for click-tracking. You can lessen it by disabling cookies, but then a lot of sites will not work properly.
The other option is to let your browser delete the cookies when closing, if you want your browsing habits to be discreet.

If you're using Firefox or Chrome, install the AdBlock Plus Add-In. Your browsing experience will be so much more peaceful!
If you're using Internet Explorer you should seriously consider using Firefox or Chrome.

On other sites, if they do not have "interests" available for you, it will default to single girls.
Thabks for the tip ChrisDanger. IE is just horrible with everything. If you've ever created a web application, you'll know how many special bits of code IE requires.
