Hi Guys,

I need some help. I bought a Ibanez S2170FB Prestige yesterday, but the previous owner really screwed things up on this guitar. He "blocked" the tremelo. And now all the parts are missing. I need someone that can supply me these parts and give the guitar a good setup. Look at the picture below. Thanks.

Judging from that pic the only things missing are three to five springs and a retainer bar for them. You should try the music stores that have a tech or buy from overseas.
Yeah absolutely no need for concern there, might even wanna consider leaving it blocked otherwise just take to a guitar tech for a setup, in all likelihood they'll have spares laying around ?
If you can't find the parts locally (shouldn't be a problem), get them from Rich at ibanezrules.com. Also a ton of setup information available on his site for Ibbys... I get all my parts from him.

Best of luck and enjoy your stunning axe! ?
As Zark mentioned, try Rich Harris' Ibanez rules site.

The S2170 being a ZR trem equipped guitar, unfortunately it looks like the entire zero resistance part of the assembly is missing.
That string block doesn't look original either

It should look something close to this...

I dont think that is a zero trem on that guitar. Just need a claw and 3 springs.

            Good luck

              Good luck
I would concur with ryanguit... if you look towards the top of the pic you can see the two holes where a standard trem was fitted previously...The shape of the cavity is wrong (from my exhaustive 5 min search of pics on the net)

Are you sure on the model of that guitar?

                Just sayin' boss

Either that or i'm horribly mistaken.
                Is this:

                The one you bought?
That's not a zero point bridge on the guitar in the advert... I would be suspect of the model ?
That being said... the wiki could be wrong...
                  Good spotting Warren.
That is definitely an Ibanez S series and the headstock does say Prestige.
Like you, i don't think that's a 2170. Its definitely not an "FB" (which should be a figured bubinga top/veneer)
body swapped out it seems. Hope you didn't pay premium price. That colour makes me think of GSA range. Please let us know or post a pic of whole guitar. this thread is killing me...
                      I only use edge trems,
I thought ZR trems all had lock outs that locks the trem... so why would he have gone through all that for?
That gumtree pick looks like a Korean model to me,with a TRS trem which in turn would look like that, if he wanted to customize a trem lock
Either way for R1900 if it was in original condition is about fair
If you supply a clear front pic then we can advise more accurately
Its pointless buying spares off the bat, that might not fit what youve actually got
in future carry a small phillips screwdriver and ask the seller to open all the cavities or you will do it for him.
I wouldnt want to open the wiring section when I got home and stare at a nightmare..LOL
I know its only R1900.... but its like opening a bonnet of a car you want to purchase,if the seller hesitates, then so should you.. ...
Just some things to add ?

If you just got yourself a Tremol-no then you can switch between fixed, floating and dive only and it completely replaces the claw so it's a rad upgrade and fills the blanks simultaneously ? and they're under like R1k, I have one on my seven string and it's super awesome, more for recording than live work, but still awesome!

Or you can get the Schaller sure claw, which is a vastly superior design to the traditional ones:

+1 on Tremol-no, in fixed it makes bending quite a lot easier than in floating.
