In one post, yes. Page total is higher (25 IIRC). So you can post more entries in a second post and they will embed.

Prevents embeds from overloading the server or user's browsers.

Great vocal, the strings complimented the song nicely. I think you nailed the brief, simple chord structure, but catchy tune!

Afrikaans version of the song above with a rock infusion ? vocals were a little loud in the mix for me, but I enjoyed it. Where are all these vocal entries coming from all of a sudden?

Liked the lead idea, but mix was a bit rough for me. Rhythm guitars far too soft and no bass to speak of. The acoustic section sounded sampled?

Needs a full band and you're A for away. Again, liked the lead, but guitar tone was a little fizzy and needs some EQ and tweaking.

Uke Song

Is that a Wavesfactory uke and body percussion sample library I hear? Simple, catchy corporate motivational type tune. Good job.

For me, Kramer is the clear winner ? but good entries from all.

I have to agree with doc-phil here - Kramer is the clear winner for me.
Uke song gets an honourable mention.

I gave my vote to Iommi, because I love Black Sabbath . . . No just kidding haha, well I do like Black Sabbath. But I thought this was a very original track. It was different as well. Its the first time I've heard a Uke used on this forum, so brownie points there. I can imagine this being featured for like a Stay Soft commercial.

If I had a second vote, I would have given it to Krieger. Also a good song, and good production too.

Some comments for the others.

Thayil: No real complaints. I like it. Good production, but the autotune did bug me a bit, but that could be a matter of taste. The lyrics are cool, and the general production of the song is good. You could hear you put effort in creating it.

Kramer: The girl has a lovely voice, and the acoustic suits the song very well. I enjoy this too obviously. I don't have any complaints against this track. Its a good song!

Krieger: Well you would have gotten my second vote. Ek hou van daai tune. One gripe is that it was a bit long, especially in comparison to the others.

Buxton: You song had a real Steve Vai feel to it, so congrats on nailing that vibe. My only issue was the end part which sounded like you made it on guitarpro. The first half of the track was excellent, then that bought the composition to a new level. Wonderful guitaring however. Bravo.

Jett: Your guitar melody was very good, and the chords accompanying it are also very well chosen. I think for next time, try playing the lead part with a bit more conviction. It sounded a bit held back at times. Gooi bru, gooi. I liked the tone of the instruments however.

The uke song was my favourite, really enjoyed all the entries though and I really like the amount of effort that has gone into them. P.S. after the stay soft comment I really can see that song going with a little puppy running around...now I need a uke though :/

For me though, the winner was a photo-finish between Thayil and Kramer.

I must say, Krieger would have been in that photo-finish as well if the entry wasn't three and a half minutes long.

Not as much as it bugged me, because it isn't meant to be there! It's 15 years since I've recorded anything, and I was less than two weeks into playing around with GarageBand on a very casual basis. It's already found a number of interesting ways to bite me in the bum, though.

I saw Pitch Correction. I thought, "Interesting." I tried it out. I thought, "Foul." I turned it off.

But I must've done something in Automation, because GarageBand turned it right back on at 100% when I did the mix-down!

The correct mix is here, sans hideous faux-AutoTune effects:

doc-phil: I don't know why you think it's country rock, I must say! It started off as a surf tune, but something wasn't working so I re-made the lead guitar part a tad louder. But I don't get a country vibe at all (unless the descending Memphis scale is enough for that...).

shewee... first time I ever composed and recorded one whole tune... the software I have I downloaded the day before I started working on the tune.

and it is freeware... and you can only do like two tracks at once... so I recorded a section, mixed it down, started a "new song", used that section and recorded the next section... repeat...I need decent software...lol.

I had like 1 and a half days to conceive and record this tune as I was packing for an overseas trip! pressure was on and I had wifey wining at me cos I was "playing guitar" instead of finishing up my packing. Lol.

I'm not convinced I should have used the wah on the intro... But once I had decided I didn't like it it was already part of the mixed down first section.

Adrian mentioned that I need to play like I mean it, my insecurities male me shy away... so much so that I almost didn't submit my entry.
