I'm thinking of getting a gig-bag to make trips to band practice etc easier. I'm currently using a hard case, but it's a bit overkill when there's virtually zero chance of the thing being knocked or thrown around, and it means I can't do everything in one trip (guitar, amp, pedalboard).
I've done a bit of Googling, but none of the recommended bags are available locally (eg the MONO stuff).
Does anyone here use something that they would recommend? It would be for Fender style guitars, so no angled headstock to worry about...

I have a plain old padded Rockbag...works for me...although, both my acoustics are constantly in their hardcases, and the SX strat in the gigbag I got it with....basically a medium density foam sandwich..

Thanks... I'll check those out!

Hmmm... I don't know what's currently available...
I use one of the plush Gibson-branded TKLs that came with the original Les Paul Studios. They're great for solidbody guitars.
I think I'd probably look at the rigid foam cases for acoustic - about the same size (or a little larger) and shape as a hardshell, but lighter. I've no idea of brands or prices though...

Padded Rockbag by Warwick. I've transported my archtop and acoustics in it without incident.

I advertised a Gator Gig bag a while ago for sale in classifieds and it was never sold. Are you interested? Make me an offer. It is practically brand new - I only used it for a few months to take my LP style Tanglewood to practices. Now I have a hard case for it.
