line 6 toneport ux1. this is a legacy product, they are no longer produced by line 6, i'm not even sure they are supported. clickety-click for all the details.

you can have it if, and only if:
- you are a struggling, new-to-recording guitarist/muso/whatever, and have no other pc recording interface thingy - this would be a starter vibe for you
- your motivation is best
- you can pick it up from me (i'm in sandton)
- you don't mind that the volume knob-thingy is a little scratchy. could probably be sorted out with a little wd40-type stuff (i'm not good with knowing what's good for using on sensitive electronic rheostat-type thingummies).

it is currently registered under my name on line6.com, but i will de-register it, and you should be able to register it under yours. i'm 98% sure i have all the software for it, including ableton lite n stuff, so you'll be up n running. i'll double check on the software n stuff before you pick it up, and you can decide after that.

pm me please

BTW, Chabenda, this means there's a Fostex for you to pick up next time you're in JHB.
One of the disadvantages to waking up at 10.... You miss out on sweet deals like this :-\ good on you Dom!
Yo Don. Christmas is around the corner. Just saying ?

I've been keeping my eyes on a pair of Yamaha HS-50 studio monitors cough cough ?

Hehe. You got the Bigsby I got the interface ?
back story. tha missus has clean up fever. the unit has long-since been replaced by a kb-37, and is taking up space in a cupboard. apart from the aforementioned crackling in the output volume pot, it should be in 100% working order - it was in use until i replaced the one with the other. i coulda asked a coupla hundred bucks for it, i guess, but hey. there are no guarantees coming with it, so it would seem unfair to charge for it. and it's a defunct product.

and btw, i do have an sg, but it ain't old, and it sure ain't 'lying around'. also, this xmas is gonna be a lean one...

                sorry guys ?

All up and running. Into Audacity for the moment until I get Cubase sorted. Busy weekend, but used it to put some rough ideas down so far. Working perfectly ?
good stuff man. clips, or it never happened.

Okay, here ya go. Just a snippet of a rough idea we put down (sloppy playing and all) so we don't forget it before next band practice in the new year. Me playing the dumbass one-note guitar riffs, straight into the toneport, into Audacity . My girlfriend/bassist/vocalist, Nicky on vocals, using the "Classic vocal" preset from Podfarm. No bass or drums. Just cleaned up some bleed from the guitar track onto the vocal that was really bad in the intro and that's it. Rough, but it's a recording ?
