After several iterations and changes (especially drummers), we finally have a 4 piece rock/blues band that sounds pretty good. The name was chosen with care to reflect our style and the facebook page (
http://www.facebook.com/RedTalonBand) has been created to start the promoting of the band. The logo has ben designed and T-shirts made to creat an identity. Weeks of practicing frantically twice a week has brought us to the point where we have enough songs in our set list to do a full gig. We have done free promotionaly gigs of about an hour before now but never been the sole entertainment for a whole night.
Friday night we do our first paying gig at Verdie's Pizzaria in the Edgemead shopping centre form 8pm till the bewitching hour. And we finally get paid! Up till now, we have funded our kit, fueled our cars and paid for endless cups of coffee and muffins out of our own pockets. We can now slowly start paying off our debt to ourselves.
We have managed to secure 3 gigs. Friday 15th November, Friday 6th and 27th Decembers and we hope that we become a regular gig at this venue. A few more gigs like this and we will have reached our goal of doing one or two gigs a week.
