TOMS Sandton Sale, Oct 3-6
Ooooh no! I can't afford this
my poor wallet

YES! I actually have some money saved up for some gear!
Im looking out for my first low wattage tube head, liking the Blackstars and laney IRT15, will go and have a look see this weekend........
I'm heading to Durbs for a week on Friday and have a ton of stuff to do before that. Getting a bass amp is high on that list

Its from the 4th according to their site ?
Cheers for the headsup ?
Thanks for the headsup. Will pop across on Friday morning to see if there's anything worth picking up. I'm thinking maybe a few modulation effects, or maybe a nice Marshal tube head if the price is right.
You guys are all dyslexic... I clearly wrote the 4th, look at the title of this post...Norman86 wrote: Its from the 4th according to their site ?

I was looking for a Blackstar HT-RH for a first small tube head at a sale price, a pity they had none in stock
Saw the Ibanez Tube Screamer 15W with 1X12 Cab going for just over 3K, real good deal for that, just lacking in some of the features that I want the Blackstar for in the first place, so I controlled my impulses and didn't buy anything

It's so easy to get caught by the sale and leave with 6 grands worth of gear (granted, gear usually marked at 13 grand) that you don't really want or need.
I've done this before. It was great! but unnecessary.
I bought...
NOTHING!
Did not see anything I really wanted and I feel there is no point in buying stuff just for the sake of buying stuff.

As far as I know, they don't allow you to demo stuff at the sales. Or not properly anyway.Joe Moore wrote: We were wondering why we didn't see one person plug a guitar into an amp to check out what they were buying. :-\
No acoustic guitars were played out loud either .... lol ?
Goood idea ?I bought a nylon full drumset weighted dustcover for R150 to cover my band stuff after a practise . 8)
Yup...........my failed sale turned into a proper sale, so no toms for me.warrenpridgeon wrote:Did you get anything cool?!flatfourfan wrote: yessssssssssssssssssssssssss.................I have money on the hip from a failed sale.............here's hoping.
I was there on Friday afternoon. I could not find anything I really wanted. Quite disappointing really.
