Awesome! Sadly after i bought a unit for 8k directly from them.

The timeline is going to be a standard delay unit within the next few years; you will see.

Well the previous dealer still owes me money and ran away with the balance of my cash, and my timeline...
(He did give me a few random pedals to try sell off. still came up about R2k short)

I wont buy pedals in SA, ever... did it once and look what happened.
I buy from Benjamin Craig, Proguitarshop.com, musictoyz.com, effectspedals.com and eBay. probably imported about 30 pedals over the last 6 years.
Can get a Timeline off Ebay for $400, why pay R6000+ locally... ??????????????????

I dont like these middle men, let them sell boss pedals to the crowds. Leave the good stuff for us to import on our own.
I bought a brand new Trex Replica, out the box landed in SA for R2800 last year... they R7000 here - how embarrasing

The Timeline does so much I bet no one that owns one even uses 20% of its features..
and playing live the timeline users probably use one delay sound with tap tempo ?

Still incredible, as is the Timefactor.. but oh soooo complex..

6k for a pedal....I seen many a top guitarist here in za with a whole pedal board that don't come to 6k...actually a lot of them had some boss pedals for the masses it appears....

Honestly, so what? By that logic I can see I don't see many top guitarists in the world playing Tokais and Kempers, but I see LOADS playing Gibsons and Fenders - doesn't mean either is better or more correct. So sick of this bullshit, "If it's good enough for pro SA guitarists, you shouldn't be using anything else" attitude that I seen a quite few times on this forum.

EY. When you want something bad enough and can afford it, get it.

Anyway; go and look at your gear and calculate what your WHOLE board actually is worth; you'll be surprised. Gear is expensive; just the way it is.

I bought an El Capistan for just under 4K. The rest of the costs are landing fees, taxes and UPS. Really wanted the Timeline, but it was a bit too much and I know I would only use about 40% of it.

Keen on checking what the launch will mean for us.
