And Joe, ? so far the Rat seems to work nicely with my setup, the rat has a much beefier sound than the Jekyl and Hyde so I use the Rat more for riffing and the Jekyl for lead!

But if I get a compatibility issue I'll let you know ?

Why are you using a DD3 (?) and a DL4, or is that some other kind of boss pedal at the end there? I would think the DL4 would make the boss redundant.

Ya Joe I got you were kidding ? and I don't think the Rat is bad for lead at all...i just like my lead to cut a little more but I did use both for recording solos.

Chocklit, I still have a Ibanez as7 I think it is and it sounds great, the Strat has just been more versatile.

In regards to why I use the dd3, i was initially taking it out but I find with the DL4 I use mainly weird delays, reverse delays, filter delays, lo fi delays etc or even stereo delays but sometimes I want a normal sounding delay without having to resave settings mid jam or gig...hence I put the dd3 back in...I do realise it is a little redundant, I consider it just one extra delay effect.

That makes sense if you had a DD3 already. Have you tried stacking the two delays? Or would that just sound chaotic? One running into the other.

Yeah I did have the DD3 first so I decided to keep it. ?

I have tried stacking...it can sound interesting but you have to be very careful with the feedbacks and the times otherwise it can potentially sound really messy.

The Rat sounded great with the Bones at Ponta Malongane.

Did you use all of those pedals at Ponta?

Yeah I used some for only one song or solo in the set, like the Fuzz I use for one solo and the Whammy another but I think at FORR I went a bit crazy, so I used more than usual in a song but I mainly actually use the J+H. I use clean prob 3 /4 times in the set otherwise my OD is always on. I use the J+H also more for solos but the Rat specifically for riffing, it sounds chunkier than the Hyde. I think I actually unplugged the DD3 for that show and just used the Dl4. The Wah I only use for a couple of solos. I try not use too many when I play with FP cos I have a tendency to go overboard, but I use all my pedals a lot when jamming and writing. ?
