The past couple of months I've been searching blindly for all the rare and cool pedals I'm keen to buy, with no luck as it stands!
So here is my idea:
I don't know if I'm allowed to do this on guitar forum, so stop me if I'm not!
Everyone's looking for that certain guitar pedal, be it a rare vintage pedal or just a really cool overdrive that seem to be nearly impossible to find in South Africa or just too expensive to buy from the only music shop that stocks them!
So here is my idea, post, on this topic, what pedal you are really looking for, and if you do, post what cool and unusual pedals you have that you are willing to part with, trade or sell!
This way, if we keep this topic active, it won't be long until a lot more of our talented members have the sound they so long for desire!
I have a TC electronics Nova System Limited in very good condition still in its box and everything and a brand new RC-30 loop station from boss that I'm willing to part with!
I'm looking for a decent distortion (not overdrive) Maybe the megalith or the New Bogner (I think it's the uberschall or something like that!) but anything in that line!
Then I'm looking for a very cool analog delay with tap tempo, something like the diamand memory lane!
I think a common misconception here is that it is expensive to get pedals from overseas.
I have bought several pedals from www.stevesmusiccenter.com and have not paid more than 35USD for shipping. R350 is not much when added to the cost of a pedal. Of course there is a little custom duty on your purchase as well, but you can still get your rare or boutique pedals for well under south african retail price.
Check out the T-rex replica delay pedal. They are great, although somewhat digital. somewhat.
I think it's a "I've got this and I'm willing to swap it for some kind of cool pedal" that's pretty much what the classifieds does. I think that a thread like this could be useful if it's something like, "Everyone please look out for a x pedal or x guitar coming up for sale 2nd hand." Where those wishlists can just sit there so that even in two years a new forum member can be, "Oh, I've got x pedal. You still looking for one?"
I think the metal zone receives way too much flack, sure it's not my personal preference, but if you aren't a young angsty teen with a stupid fringe who turns the gain way up past eleven, and you pair it with an amp that at least has a 2x12 cab and keep the gain from places 10 'o clock and below you can get some useable results.
I mean sure they're maybe not exactly what you're after but the thing has like a billion EQ knobs, honestly with all that shaping if you can't make it sound at least acceptable there's something wrong with you...

Then I reckon there's something wrong with most metalzone owners ?
