Any suggestions for songs adaptable to acoustic singer-guitar from the last decade (i.e. from around 2000 to present)
Seem to know a lot of earlier songs and not that many recent songs.

The only one's that I currently know = Everything (Michael Buble), Somebody Like You (Keith Urban) and Follow Me (Uncle Cracker)

Why not try some songs that are written on acoustic? Some Mumford and Sons, The Lumineers, aKING has a few ("know your bones" and "Safe as Houses" would work)
Hinder - lips of an angel
The Goo Goo Dolls - Iris
Paolo Nutini has some cool acoustic work "Jenny don't be hasty" works pretty well on acoustic
I'm gonna get shot for this but...... Coldplay? they did a few of their songs acoustically on their viva la visa prospekts march edition ? "Lovers in Japan" is a good one

Shout if you need any other suggestions and I'll go through my iTunes and check what I have

I think there's quite a lot that you can do with a little thought and a dash of perversity. I've performed "Oops! I Did It Again" at TJ's. I was thinking of doing Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl and I Liked It" but I lost my bottle.

Most songs have a melody that sits over some chords and so can be adapted to a single guitar. Skill permitting, of course. Skill is the limiting factor for me.

Go to YouTube and look for the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain doing Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" (with male vocal). It shouldn't be that hard to do a version of that on single guitar. The melody would still be recognisable.

Not exactly what you're asking for, but it does show how songs can be re-arranged for minimal instrumentation look for two versions of "Hit 'Em Up Style" on YouTube. The original was a big hit for Blu Cantrell in 2001. The more recent version is by the Carolina Chocolate Drops.
Local singer/songwriter Gil Hockman does a solo version of a Snoop Dogg (or whatever he's calling himself this week) number. Not a song from his recent reggae album either.

        Many things are possible.
My suggestion is to ask yourself what would be fun to do and then figure that out. This doesn't apply just to contemporary pop - I'm quite proud of doing a Gilbert and Sullivan song at TJ's. Same principle - it's got a melody and some underlying chords. There's a little signature motif (or, if you like, lick) that runs through that song, but the notes for that are in the chords anyway.
If you're feeling lazy, there's always Dr. Google if you don't mind sifting through mountains of rubbish.
You'll find countless lists of acoustic songs for the solo acoustic player.
Here's some suggestions, with video tutorials - sorry if the links take you to YouTube mobile.

Some excellent songs such as cannonball by Damien Rice, Babylon by David Gray, Ain't no Sunshine by Bill Withers

You can save these videos to your hard drive if you use RealPlayer Downloader, to save you using bandwidth watching them over and over.

Not only are all of these songs in tutorial format but they cover many decades so you just keep searching till you find something that tickles your fancy.

Product called AnyVideoConverter can also be used to download the youtube videos.

Eddie Vedder has some nice songs you can try, other artists from the 2000's that come to mind: The Verve, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, R.E.M

You can also check out Youtube for Boyce avenue. They have some pretty good acoustic arrangements....not ALL doable on a single guitar. But should open your mind a bit.

                  Cheers
