It was absolutely incredible! ?
Chromium and Pestroy were rather meh in my opinion, but Metallica destroyed! the intro to One ? just great
Left me all emo and stuff. Best damn thing I've ever seen in my life. To have my favourite track in the encore.. oooooooh. Battery!!! Forget the frikkin intro and just jump into it... wooooooooooooooow!

I liked Pestroy's interludes between their tracks, but thats about it. Was just waiting and waiting and waiting for the good, the bad and the ugly to start. OMG!!!!
I saw them in JHB last night! Was beyond AWESOME!!!!

Oh, and got to meet the guys!!!!

As a rule I avoid alcohol at live events. I really cannot see why anyone would want to watch any show that they've paid for drunk?
But last night in JHB was bloody good!!!!

Lucky f... ? I'm pretty sure we ran into eachother at some point, haha! Shoulder length black hair, blue-ish leather trenchcoat & boots ring any bells? ?
I really hate these guys (I mean I even said no to 2 complimentary tickets ???) but I'm actually glad they put on a great show!
Nothing grates me more than when a world renowned band comes along and play a rubbish show.
It's good to know that these ooms really brought it ?

Man, last night was awe-inspiring. I saw them in 2006 when they were here and honestly left feeling a tad disappointed. But last night was beyond words! They brought it BIG TIME!!!!

"Om daai ooms te kom sien wie jy kom sien het .... " ?
I had the time of my life on the 25th... Awesome line-up. Absolutely LOVE Metallica! Caught a plectrum as well. Nice souvenir. Saw them at Cokefest a few years back. These guys have an on-stage presence like no other, imho.
                    Epic show (FNB Saturday)

Was in golden circle right up front, caught a plectrum as well, and just like Joe I am a "oom" I am 57

Was good to see Justin on base with Chromium opening the bill.

                    Regards

                    Mike
Now wasn't that just brill! Had a great view of the proceedings from a slightly elevated position, what a sight! They played some interesting stuff - Orion, The Memory Remains and Blackened. Pyro was great. ? ? Just trying to figure out how Pestroy fitted into the process. :-\
Wow and now I'm really bummed that I missed them..... :'(. at least I saw them last time they were here.
Seen them 3 times and this honestly was the best show..........what a freaking setlist.

With the exception of 2 songs from the newer stuff it was all old skool. I mean common, opening up with hit the lights?

I didn't stop headbanging till the end of seek and destroy.........this is the first live show of anything where I have been totally dry and 100% sober and damn it was the best by far.

                          Kudos to symbol...................lucky sod.

I got asked by a young lass behind me "Hoekom is jy hier oom ?".....lol. :-[ true story ?
I blame it on the long lines for the beer as well as those cups that have handles, guys were buying 10 pints at a time......The same cups that were being thrown around in the general standing area.

Guess who had one of those cups fly a few mm from his head. ??? Might've started in the general standing area but eventually the others decided to join in. Narrow escape, haha!
Sadly I did not attend ..but dayum I would of loved to watch Justin and support him and his band....one of those things hey...

joe - damn, u the same age as those ooomies on stage man ?

symbolofmylife - nice man , real nice and sweet t shirt too..... sacrifist proper cool za band .... I voted for sacrifist to open for metallica on some website as requested by shelly..

                                next time I go ....
It was a really good show, we were right in front, just to the left.

My girlfriend caught me one of Hetfield's picks he used during the night ? Yes, that is why I love her...

I also caught a few other unused ones (bass + guitar) that they threw into the crowd at the end of the
show, but that one is different from the rest.

Loved the show and the chance to again see a bunch of cool guitars....

The "chrome boy" snakebite played by Hetfield was a disappointment, but man seeing that Kenny Lawrence Explorer again in real life was awesome. That, the Flying V's, the Jackson Rhoads and the black LP custom made me remember why I am such a Metallica fanboy..

The KL totally did it for me as well......
