SX Jazz bass

Hey guys,

I am looking to buy a SX jazz or even better an mm/j to be my project bass, does anybody know where I can buy them in Gauteng? I have given up looking for one secondhand.

Any advice would be appreciated

1 was even going for 800 bucks... I seriously considered buying it but someone beat me to it...

There is a guy on gumtree thats selling bass bodies and necks. These are all made by Dr.Parts who also make the bodies and necks for SX instruments so if you want to have a project bass and you plan on replacing most parts except for the body and neck this might be a easier option. Its R650 for a body and R650 for a neck. I'm planning on doing a project p bass with these parts

Maybe my interweb is broken, I only found P basses and almost always in CT. Why do they always have the better deals...

Maybe a custom neck and body is the way to go, and do a warmoth-ish build. I will look into that. Thanks

Ah yes my bad it was a P-bass.... Sorry dude... But yeah if you're gonna do what freddie says then you're better off buying parts... check this guys stuff against ordering off the web and see what works out best (Usually off the web because you can order your parts at the same time like on Warmoth, GFS or Allparts or something similar)

More quitters down there. But they do have to contend with the awesomeness that is the Hellfire Blues Club. So maybe you can't blame them.

Yeah, that is something to live up to alright!

I think I still want to go the SX route, I want n complete bass to mess around with first.

So are there any shops that stock SX? I can't find any.

Where about are you? Ronnie's Allbang & Strummit near Northcliff usually have some 2nd hand SX guitars, though they never hang around long...

A music shop found the importer and they only have P basses atm, and no date on a next shipment. This got me thinking, did they ever bring in J basses?

I am based in PTA but more than happy to drive to Ronnie's. Will phone them and see what I can find.

Give Rock Solid Music Zambezi a call, they can order you a SX Jazz. I was quoted about R1800.

The SX in Junkmail is a older model Jazz, on the newer ones the headstock looks exactly like a Fender.
