Hi there
My name is Ruan and I am guitar player as well as a sound engineer / producer.
I was told by my friends Igor and Dean to join in on the discussions here.
I'm very much into geartalk aswell as being a amateur adiophile (freaky word) so I think I'll enjoy it here.
O and just a note, I listen to mostly metal, so keep you're peanut butter out of my choclate, unless its some
crazy persian music with tabourines with a hint of dragonfire.
Anyway thats me...

They're calling in reinforcements, eh? Us peanut butter types must be winning! ?
Ever try your chocolate the original Inca way, with chillies in? You're not metal enough if you don't take it that way... ?

Hi guys.
Lol @ all the peanutbutter jokes. Tried black cat the other day. I must say find it more natural tasteing in a
less-salty-less-sweet kind of way, compare to skippy and yum yum.
I haven't tried peanut butter with chillies but it sounds nice. Next on my list is a Rare steak with Chocolate and Chillie Souce.
o yeah and I did mispell aUdiophile....sorry'bout that.
The reason why I wanted to get my point across about the metal was that, that is what I listen to 90% as well as play and record. But I really do like some other things like Pink Floyd, Middle Eastern and Japanese Music, Love Tim Burton Move soundtracks, and my guilty little pleasure is Fall Out Boy when the time is right. They sound so cute after you just played Cannibal Corspe....lol.
Gearwise, I've been using Cubase SX3 for 3 years now, been doing sound a bit longer. I jumping ship
to mac + logic (btw if anybody got some apogee gear let me know). I've used PODs and several amps, but am currently using Revalver MK III for most guitar stuff.
Replaced my yamaha MSP5's the other day with Genelec 8030's which I really dig.
Anyway thats enough about me.
Thanx for the warm welcomes.
C U in the forum.

Ruan, let's cut to the chase here. Do you play an Ibanez ?
Just as a way of breaking the ice, I'll tell you that my favourite sandwich is peanut butter and cheese. You should try it.

Yeah LoL, I do play Ibanez, but I just jam extended range guitars.
My main guitar is a Moded Ibanez RG7321
Other:
Ibanez UV777BK Universe
Ibanez RG2888 8 String
ESP LTD SC607B
O, btw, Peanutbutter and banana is also a winner, but I want to try Elvis' signature sandwich. Bacon + Peanutbutter + Banana sounds uber lekker!!!

What mods did you add to the RG7321?i played one,i was going to buy it,but found the neck way to thin, pick ups were shit and it was way to light for me...i can still get it if i want to,the guy wants R2500 for it
Ruan7321
I had my pick up holes routed to fit emgs (81-7 and a 707), because the seven string versions come in bass pickup housings.
Replaced the electronics. I've got some Schaller Locking tuners and a Switchcraft Jack on the way.
Stock pickup on these guitars are total !@#%!#$. Yeah its got a really thin wizard neck. I tend to like those more than the u and c shape necks from fender or gibson. Dean guitars are ok, but I play Ibanez because of the neck.
So all in all, I've got a pretty metal shred guitar, now I just need to learn how to play it...lol.

Mmmmm.... peanut butter... (Homer voice)
Me likes: Peanut Butter, Cheese, Chicken Polony & Jam. I'll take everything that's in the fridge and stick it in a sandwich. I have a strong stomach ?
Igor
Dude, die mense hier gebruik net Fender - guitars, amps, pedals, straps, picks . . .
So, ons kids met ons dun nekke is thin spread . . . soos peanut butter op baie warm toast
