Hey

I don't post here often although I spend some time here everyday, awesome forum.
Anyway, some of you may be interested. A 1994 Gibson Explorer.
After playing guitar for more than a decade I finally happened on a affordable Gibson and she is now mine! ?

Plays ,feels and even smells very impressive.
Funny that, never really noticed a guitar smelling good before ?
Sweet man, congrats! Looks very cool 8)

What pickups are in the explorer?
        Ah jou Bliksem....!!!!

        Congrats...that is one sexy machine
Its funny i also know what my guitar smells like, when it went to get set i missed that smell. Sounds weird Haha
            That looks awesome dude!
I first noticed the smell on my first gibson too.
I still have that Les Paul and it smells the same now, ten years on.

            ah dude ? excellent.
That is an awesome Explorer man!

I bought my geetar from some wierdo bodybuilder guy who had nothing in his kitchen except for huge tubs of protein shakes.
I just though that he ate so much of that crap that his vanilla dude stink seeped off his hands onto the guitar.

Turns out it was the Nitros finish which evaporates over time; an explanation im much more comfortable with since it hasn't gone away over 4 years.
Nice! Congrats man, you must be super chuffed hey....
Awesome, enjoy! Best thing about explorers? Make you practice standing up...
                    Thanks for the nice words!
There really is something special about these guitars, call it a vibe.
@reinhard : I don't really know, the pickups are stamped Gibson Usa,no model nrs or anything. The previous owner didn't change anything
so it would be the factory installed pickups. 500t's I think.
