Thanks guys!

Alan, I'll be sure to give my tonal impressions once I've given her a proper go. ? I'm also trying to figure out whether/how I can do a few sound clips...

I just went back and browsed through the thread... I started off aiming for this...

Basically a two pickup version of this, but black instead of shoreline gold...

Took a bit of time this morning to try and take a few "glamour" shots of my new gal! I think they came out looking pretty spiffy! ?

Beautiful. And I love the Fender-inspired spaghetti logo. Top notch all round.

Well done Bru, that finish is awesome. Give us some technical info, What did you use for the white trim? What laquer did you use.? Is there a technical reason for the lamination in the neck, or is it just that it looks so good?
That's one sexy guitar nice work

The white trim is standard white binding from Stewmac:

The for the lacquer I used grey primer and gloss black nitro from Technipaints. The clearcoat was Premchem's clear nc topcoat.

Nope, the flame maple wood grain figuring in the neck is purely aesthetic.

Honestly? I'm still infatuated with it. It's cemented itself firmly as my main guitar.

It's honestly just a comfortable guitar to play. It's lightweight with great balance on the strap and the neck just fits my hand perfectly. Being slightly thicker the gentle V shape just fits my hand so snugly.

Sound wise it's just so versatile. As I am (was) mostly a single coil player I absolutely love the TV Jones pickups. They're hotter (especially the classic+ in the bridge) but they maintain beautiful clarity. I can get lovely thick clean tones in the neck, chimey middle position tones and surprisingly twangy bridge positions sounds. And they're very dynamic. Using my amp11 set for "hair" into a clean amp I can milk a lot of dynamics from the guitar just with pick attack.

Add a little gain to the mixture and it gets better. They're dead quiet, because 'buckers, and they just sing. I never really used my bridge pup on the strat, on the tele though, it's magic. Bridge pup and tube screamer is great... it cuts really well. Stack the tube screamer with the OCD and it sings!!!

Since I've been running this setup I've had barely even had a passing bit of GAS. It just does what I want it to. I'm running the guitar and pedals into a clean fender voice amp, but I really want to hear it through a marshall at some point though... ?

You have the classic and classic+ right?! (Just confirming)
You really need to upload video / audio of your setup ?

PS, you have me GAS-ing extremely hard for a La Cab like yours!
Though I'm more partial to a transparent finish myself.
What did it end up costing you all in all?
You can PM that if you like!

                              Cheers.
Only saw pics now - fantastic looking piece of work :applause:
