I've recently started doing reviews for www.globaldomination.se a Swedish run site dedicated to all things metal. The writers come from all corners of the globe, covering everything from Tech Death to Stoner Doom, Hard Rock to Black Metal, bands from Europe to as far afield as Malaysia. Normally they require a physical copy of everything they review. If you need a back-slap-buddy review to boost your ego, its not the place for you!! If you want an honest opinion, look no further.
I'm willing to do download reviews of 3 song demos for SA metal bands only as I can get to it. I'll need a one sheet in PDF format. Your MySpace or farcebook address will not be sufficient!!

If you want to have an album reviewed you'll still have to send to the offices in Sweden.

This will also include gigs BTW.
Thanks for the headsup. We're planning on finishing up our next EP in October, and will definitely get in touch.
Will get you the required sometime next week, shaap.

Cool, I was expecting this post to be another cobweb and tumble weed repository.

Dont know what happened to my reply above, but YES, metal being the operative word. This whole recent sub-sub-micro-genre thing is all bull really.

And we're off to a roaring false start. Seriously, not one submission.
The offer is still open, even thou I'm quite swamped. Currently busy with 3 albums for next week and 2 interviews by mid month. One band features an expat from Durban on vocals in a progressive metal act that is rather impressive.
Sorry 'bout that.Swamped aint the word. Got back from Monster rock the weekend, and got band battle tomorrow [ yes, believe it or not on a Wednesday afternoon ] at the Tzaneen show. { Was supposed to be on Saturday but a double booking clashed it with Hofmeyer and Snotkop! } Throw mine and the drummers matric into the mix as well and things get tight. Will make a concerted effort this weekend.

                    Still nothing.
I've bent over backwards, I've convinced the editor to let me do DL reviews of albums (of South African metal bands only).

Dude, I really love that you are doing this! Hopefully you still are and that guys have sent you some stuff. We really need to get SA metal out there!!! It's imperative... Your power level is over 9000 ?

I'm trying. Yet it seems you and I are alone in our enthusiasm. I'm doing 3 reviews a week of bands from all over. I did a review of SA band Contrast the Water, an interview with Dean Smith of Brothering and 2 Dogs Funking, an interview with expat Craig Land now doing vocals for a UK metal band De Profundis, and I'm busy doing an interview with Cristo Bester of Groinchurn. But I've had zero submissions from local bands. Hmmm....
Dude this is great. Only saw the thread now. Still need to get a band together ?

Four months after first posting this thread I've finally received a submission from a South African metal band. In that time I've had 28 reviews and 4 interviews published, and only one was for a local band namely "Contrast the Water".
