I feel a re-introduction is needed. I visit the forums everyday, but never really post, except for the occasional question. But I want to get more involved I just don't always know what to reply as I know about a lot of different effects but don't have any actual experience with them. Due an unfortunate event about a month ago I now have the opportunity to get that experience and would like to post more often. In case anyone wonders what happened. my GT-8 and 2 Jack to jack cables got stolen out of my car on church grounds and unfortunately neither their insurance nor my parents can cover it. But I had my old Zoom GFX-1 to fall back on, luckily.
So here with my re-intro. The name's Dirk. I live in Centurion, Pretoria. I play lead guitar at my church, which is AFM Doxa Deo and specifically at the Raslouw Campus. I've been playing guitar since 2001 although in 10 years my skill level is not where it's suppose to be. For a church band almost any style can work (except metal) but anything from rock, to alternative rock like styles, to even jazz styles will work (obviously depending on which church we're talking about). My style I try is something of a classic rock style. Like a major down graded improve version of Malcolm young, etc. I in general love to play anything from classic rock to power metal and jam along those types of songs as much as my skill allows me. As for my current gear setup. I will do a post about that.
Current Gear is in my sig. But I'll make a post in the gear section soon and post pics.

Welcome again Dirk. Don't worry - I don't always know what to reply either. ? Just help where you can and learn from the other members who know their stuff and share it. If you have an enquiring mind, you'll soon build up your own vast storehouse of knowledge to share. ?

Dirk, I can help you with the cables, either 2nd hand and tested, for free, or new Mogami with Amphenol connectors at pretty close to cost. What length do you need?
PM me.
