CAUTION: SAD STORY AHEAD!

So it was Thursday morning. I was just leaving home to a camp for 4 days with the school and I packed my guitar. As I am about to leave my mom asks me "Eden, why are you taking your guitar with you? It's going to break", at that moment my guitar fell on the floor. (Thanks mom).

When arrived at camp, I took the guitar out of its bag wanting to play it and saw the neck was cracked :'( . when got home on sunday night made a few phone calls and made an appointment with 2 people who fix guitars. Tonight I went to see both and they both called this a "bad crack" and that it will be really hard to fix if possible. Unfortunately I can't fund the fix so I got back home and packed the guitar away once and for all.

Today, the 5th of September 2011, Freddie Mercury's birthday, is the date of death of my Ibanez AEG8E-NT from 2010.

RIP

Ah man. Post some pics. We have a lot of good eyes here on GFSA.
don't think all repairs cost a fortune...... unless it's really tricky ..

i not so long ago saw in a repairmans workshop a guitar with the neck totally broken at head stock and he quotes a low repair cost .........

also most repair places have 2 rates for repairs .one to fix the problem ....... and one to make the repair almost or totally invisible, which takes more work and care and is more expensive.........

so maybe take it in to a few rapair guys...... and say you on a tight budget and if you just want it fixed and if it's not that important to you to not have the fix made invisible they may just be able to inject some glue and clamp it till it sets ...........and not bother (and charge) to work on the finish to cover the crack .....which is what they would do mostly .....

talk to them most guys in music industry understand the minimal budget issue and offer compromises. it may be cheaper to repair than to even spend a few hundred on a cheap acoustic .......
