Keen to get al the CT members together to compare gear and stories.
Basically just bring your guitar(s) and amp(s) and effect(s) and under supervision and provided you are willing, let others try different gear out.
Biggest issue I assume would be a venue depending on how many people are keen.

I've got a lead on a hall here in Napier - just waiting to get a price for a weekend.

Will we be allowed to camp on your front lawn? ?

Actually, I've spoken to a BnB and secured a good price and will approach others depending on demand. Must still speak to the local hotel, but their rates are good anyway. I also have a venue/watering hole willing to host an evening jam session/pissup on the Saturday.
Then it's speak to a few suppliers who want to demo gear, some clinicians (possibly one or two endorsers). Security (overnight for the hall), food (while I'm not going to have a meals included package, I do want to try organise a vendor or two.
Still a ton of brainstorming and admin to do. It's quite overwhelming actually. Anyone have event planning experience? ?

Right its a new year and we need to get this moving, even if we have a small one before the bigger one in De Ar (or wherever Alan stays ? )
So we need a venue, semi central for most people thats far enough away from stuff to not be phased about noise

Well I'm in ?
I would offer our church hall but the neighbours would definitely not enjoy that since we've had some "issues" in the past - you know how raucous church can be ?

ok i got a date for the pedal day
25 february, its a saturday, want to do it early say 11:00 - 13:00
at sancutary rehearsel studios(skywalker on the forum, his place), he sponsered us a saturday for the event.
there is 3 airconditioned rooms acoustically treated, so there will be enough space, things to bring will be a beer and maby some chips and all your pedals and cool amps.
its in Parow, northern suburbs
if for some reason you wont be able to make that date, reply.
if we settle on the date and time, and will start a new thread with the event.

Cool! Later in the afternoon would be better for me though, will have to see if I can juggle some things.

I am pretty keen but I'd have very little to contribute unfortunately, would it be an issue to come and simply check out what everyone else has got, would probably help me as well a bit in my quest for finding the right tube amp.
