Thrash
lolz.... lotsa replies!! I feel wanted
Hoping to learn as much as I can from all ya'll
As far as my tastes.... I like metal... username gives it away a little i suppose
What kind of metal you may ask(or maybe not, but I shall still tell you)
Rammstein (concert changed my life, lol)
Drowning pool
Disturbed
Children of bodom
Thats basically the style I would like to play, there are more bands I enjoy, but not energetic enough to list everything
I've been playing around a little with a blues scale, and its really funky. I like it alot....
As for my gear...
Got a ritmiller nylon string
AND
A marshall mg100dfx (sorta on permanent loan for now)
AND
No electric.... hehe
In the market for one, just haven't found her yet. Looking for a Ibanez RGR321ex, hopin to find a second hand one, but if I cant get hold of one I should have enough cash in a month or two to get one new from Musicmadness.co.za

Look around in the classifieds section, excellent deals to be had (a birdy sings in my ear that there's an RG up for grabs at this very moment...)
Just don't tell people how you don't have bucks in the classifieds threads, they get befok upset upon hearing your troubles. There's just no more compassion anymore in the world these days! ?
Thrash
lol. Yea, I checked there's a whole thread about it "derailing classifieds"... Eish
I had a look at that RG, and while it is beautiful, it has a floating bridge, which I'm not too keen for. Don't wanna make my life complex this early in the game
Thrash
Oh... somethin else....
If anyone is interested in snakes, Ball pythons specifically, I know a guy selling some (me)
Norman86
dont be worried about a floating bridge!
They're fine! You will have to get used to a floyd rose bridge though, which also comes in hardtail flavour!
So if you want an easier route, get something NOT floyd rose equipped ?
Welcome, and enjoy your stay! And dont mind TD, he derails everything ?

Welcome. I think you'd find that whatever gear is yours, you'll quickly get used to its quirks. Restringing will be a little harder, but you'd get the hang of it.

Thats true, the issue I have is the price bracket of guitar I'm looking at (R3000 - R4500) tends to have crappy tremelo/floating bridges. The ibanez RG370 looks great, but I hear to many bad things about the edge III system that it comes with. Same issue with the cort EVL k6, heard that the metal is budget and they still go out of tune. I think it'd just be easier if I go with hard tail. And also, I wanna experiment with down tunings, which means even more time if I have a floating bridge, because of the locking system
Er... my technical understanding of guitars is rather limited as I'm only really learning about all these things now, so if I've misunderstood something please don't grill me... hehe

I was looking at the X6 as well but settled on a new M600 for less than 3 gorillas. Hardtail bridge and a beautiful guitar with great tone. Not regretting it for a second.
Thrash
Hmmmm... Stupid question perhaps.... gorillas.... means thousands? Could be hundreds... I rarely have blue money in my wallet... hehe
Tonedef
Gorillas = Geez ?
