I`ve had this +- 1990 mex strat for a long long time and since all the US models became affordable to me it has been in its hiding place for many years -- too many. Took it out last nite beautiful light blue -- action still good , but was very disappointed with the pups and pots -- scratchy and low power, what can one do -- is it worth while putting something like EMG`s in or is the whole electronic system below standard. The build quality is actually very good, maple neck , stays in tune, I`ve still got the cardboard box it came in 1991 before I bought a hsc for it. Can anybody advise and if I can do something about where must I take it -- I live in the Eastern Cape

I`m in my size is L or XL if its a small cut - I can do a transfer of OK
