Not too sure how many people like this band on this forum, but I am super stoked to have this awesome Christian metal band touring SA ? Here's to hoping they don't pull a Devil Driver and cancel at the last minute.

See the pic for dates.. You'll find me in the pit at the Durban show ?

BTA in SA?? Wow. That's unexpected.

    Awesome!!!!!

How did you find out about it Doc? I wonder how many people in SA know about them? Obviously more than I thought, if they think it's worth touring here.

This band is a really interesting mix of extreme metal genres, I'd call them blackened progressive melodic metalcore. ? They sound pretty gothic sometimes too in the big flourishing organ intros and just the way the melodies are written. Excellent riffing and not bad in the guitar solo department either as I recall (haven't listened to them in a long while.)

Their last (or was it second-last) album was produced by none other than Devin Townsend, who did an excellent job imo delivering a more focused, self-consistent album than the previous one had been. (Doc-Phil will be able to supply album titles I'm sure.)

This is an A-grade extreme metal band well worth investigating.
      Yes its true.

I am going to be on the sound engineering team for that night in cape town, super stoked. ?
My drummer loves this band! I'll have to tell him...

Thanks for posting this doc-phil. ?

I'm a member of the Burn group on facebook and I just saw it through that ?

Ya Devin Townsend worked on Dichotomy which is a sick album. The one before that was Physics of Fire which was also really good, but my only complaint (and I think a lot of people complained about this ?) was the clean vocals. They were just wierd.

I think Count Seth is the man behind all the solos and guitar widdling... He writes some great stuff, and not just heavy riffage, he jams some amazing accoustic licks as well. ?
Listened to them last night... not really liking the Prod Metal, Underoath is a much more listenable (i know thats not a word) band.

Have to give credit where its due though... the guitars are amazing and on the one song the intro was amazingly beautiful.
Heh, to each their own; I don't like Underoath, I find them boring ?
I love Underoath and BTA (probably Underoath more so) but I don't think those two bands can be compared. They're in completely different sub-genres of metal. Prog metal will always be considered to be not as listenable as other genres, I think that's the whole point of it really ?

BTA were very good last night at muzone.

i organised a Laney GH100L and a Mesa Boogie single rectifier for them to use. its a very disciplined band, and they really know how to use their instruments.
