Your Pedalboard!!!

Hi guys just wanted to start this thread so that everyone can see each others pedalboard. So here is mine pretty simple just a Boss ME-50 & i am going 2 buy myself a digitech hot head & some other pedals. So guyz start posting pics of your pedalboard. I dont have a photo of my board yet so just got some photos of the pedals off the net.

Just be aware that while pancake jacks are very flat, they are also very wide, which can be a problem with those pedals where the jack sockets are close to the DC power socket (like Lovepedal) or where all three sockets are at the top of the pedal.

I have four different solderless cable brands - well, three currently, one on the way from the States.

I have Bullet Cable, Planet Waves solderless, George L's and two Lava solderless kits are on the way with some new kit!

The Bullet slugs are my least favourite. The centre pin in the jack housing has a tendency to be off centre, meaning that it never really makes a solid connection to the core of the cable.

The Planet Waves are much more solid. Never had a problem with the centre pin of the jack housing.

The George L's are super simple, and more compact. But, they are expensive and not easily available, whereas the Planet Waves kit is available at most guitar stores.

Can't comment on the Lava, as they are currently flying over the Pacific Ocean.

GLS or Switchcraft pancake jacks. You can get pre-made cables with the Switchcrafts on locally. Something like this:

You'll just have to have some soldering skills if you want to buy the jacks separately and make your own patch cables.

Where can i get ready made's? or even just the jacks?

Can we really only get George L's from overseas? i read on their website their are SA retailers that stock them?

Its a work in progress...

Signal chain as follows:

Strat -> Vox 847a Wah -> Korg Pitchblack Poly -> ~~Fuzz -> OD~~ -> Albion TCT35H
Effects loop out -> TC Electronic Flashback -> Strymon Flint -> Boss RC3 Looper -> Effects Loop Return.

still to come, a booteek fuzz and an od from Craig Amps, and an expression pedal to control trem speed on the flint!
the effects loop pedals will be raised though, and the Cioks will be underneath them!
And then my pedalboard is done ?

I also came right with pedalboard cables, thank goodness... these hosa cables have small profiles and twist easily!
i hear no discernible difference in tone to going direct!
one day if it starts to bother me, i might consider changing them!

Im also very proud, as i have NO annoying blue LED's on my board, and im super grateful and thankful for that! ? ?

I must also just mention, big thanks to Joel for helping me find the RC3, Chris_smith for the Flashback, and Mr T for my nagging and questions.. The Pitchblack Poly and the Vox 847A Wah bought from Tuerk Music!

Ain't that the truth! Delays in particular...

Similarly someone recently told me I was "cheating" with my guitar synth, so I didn't say a word and handed him my guitar and watched him go red as he flailed around hopelessly. You can't strum a piano sound...

Found this thread very inspiring when I first joined GFSA, I went through the whole thing and after much inner-forum trading (thanks guys ? ), tweaks, mods and changes, this is my very last and "final" pedalboard ?

The cabling needs a bit of a cleanup, it is on my to-do-someday list ?

(The CS-3 has the Monte Allums Opto Plus mod)

That's a good looking board!!

That board (barring the big muff) has all the trappings of a worship guitar player's board... Multiply delays, volume pedal for swells, TS style drive and a POG... Amirite?

Thanks Rikus, not a worship player at all, more a experimental/alternative/blues player a.k.a a noisemaker 8) Never thought I would end up with all the delays, but I had the memory boy first, got the dd-7 afterwards for its crisp digital delays and for its looping capabilities and then bought the CC after hearing it being used live one night. Thought it would replace my MB, but I decided I "need" them both ?
I enjoy using the muff with the POG, very thick smooth sounds, even though it might overwhelm everything else in the mix ?

The sparkle drive is one awesome pedal, it works great for almost all setups, used it on a 12R Cub, VC30 and now on my Express. My blend knob is always at 2'o clock, mixing in the clean signal really adds back a lot of low end and dynamics that gets lots with traditional TS style drivers. Don't think I will ever part with it!

That is the exact sound you get by adding +1 octave on the pog with some fuzz.

I also love using fuzz with the trem for that raw Black Keys type sound 8)

(It also kills everything else in the mix!)

Spoilsort! ? I'm not going to nail it down to a heavy piece 'o wood just to meet criteria. One of the nice things is it's only four parts and a three cables to the rack and it scales down if I only need the GR-55 or don't need the expression pedals for a gig.
