Valve order from Tube Depot, need collaborators.

ezietsman · 2010-07-02T12:36:08+00:00

Hello All. So I think I may need some new valves soon and I see from other posts and people that www.tubedepot.com is a good place. Problem is, my HT-5 only uses 2 valves and I thought of getting 2 different 12ax7s to try and one 12bh7 which comes to a royal total of around $35. Looks like the 7-10 day shipping is $30 so I'll more or less pay double to get those 3 valves here. Nick expressed interest in piggy backing on my order so hence, will anyone else be interested in ordering some valves? To make things a bit easier it would make sense to have people who live in and around Cape Town join, else I have to go and faff around in post offices too much. On the other hand, if someone else in CPT is going to order some valves soon, can I piggyback on your order?

Reinhard

Hi Graeme
I wish to update my order
1 matched quad of Sovtek EL84 = $30
1 Electro Harmonix 12 AU7EH=$11
1 Sovtek 5AR4=$18
Tung Sol 12 AX7=15x3=$45
Total $104

Thanks ?

This is also available as a matched quad at no extra charge. Good if you are using them all in the same amp.

EDIT: I assume these are for your AC30? If this is the case we should taked the matched quad.

Reinhard

Thanks Graeme! Order amended

@Luke: I'm going to order two sets of matched quad EL34s for your Marshalls too ?

Hey Graeme,

When do you want to put the order through and when is the deadline? I've still not had a chance to look myself, but will get on it ASAP, chasing a deadline helps ?

Cheers

Matt

Ok received payment from Reinhard.

@Matt: I'll probably only be able to order on Fri as I need to wait for everyone's deposit to clear first. Let me know what you want and we can add to the order.

FenderBender

Ok received payments from Nick, Rikus, Reinhard and David. Thanks guys.

FenderBender

Whats your guestimated ETA?

FenderBender

They say Nov 5 by 6pm, but this is just an estimate by FedEx. In the past they have taken 3 to 4 days, so I'd guess around Tuesday next week.

matta

ARRGG, sorry, my bad, you said Friday and I've just put my order together and was about to pay you (since you get it instantly) thinking today was the cut off... my bad, no biggie, I'll just catch the next train :-[

Cheers

Matt
