Hi everyone,

I'm Marco and live in Johannesburg.
Surprisingly I love music and guitars. I like many genres, from classical to jazz, blues, rock, ...
If there's an artist that I love the most, it has to be Salif Keita.

Yep, I also like Salif Keita.........some of the tracks I sometimes jam with are "Seydou", "Nyanyama", and "Nyanafin" (which also features one of my all-time-favourite guitarists........Carlos Santana...)...

If you like Salif, you should also listen to Youssou N'Dour, (though a vocalist), he has an incredible guitarist in his band, Mamadou ‘Jimmy’ Mbaye. If fact his band is brilliant. Definitely high on my African bands list.

Seydou is one of my all time favourite song. Have you listened to Keita's latest album: 'La Différence'? He recorded a different version of Seydou, but the one on the Folon album is still the best.

No, unfortunately don't have that album........ but I will make a plan and get it....... strange hey, how the first version you hear almost always seems better.
